Blood Donation Camp for Thalassemia Patients to Be Held in Sachin Industrial Area
Surat – In a collaborative effort between the Surat City Police and the Sachin Industrial Society, a large-scale blood donation camp is being organized to support children suffering from thalassemia who require regular blood transfusions. The camp will be held on Thursday, August 28, 2025, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. near the DGVCL Sub-Division Office on Road No. 3 at Sachin GIDC. Police Commissioner Ajaykumar Gehlot is expected to attend the event.
According to organizers, more than 2,250 plot holders, industrialists, workers, and police personnel are expected to participate. The initiative aims to collect life-saving blood donations that will directly benefit children battling thalassemia.
Sachin Industrial Society Secretary Mayur Golwala said there has been enthusiastic support from both industrialists and workers for the initiative. Society President Nilesh Gami, Vice President Bhikhubhai Nakarani, Notified President Mitul Mehta, and Secretary Golwala inspected the site beforehand to review arrangements. Police Inspector Ghanshyam Singh and his team also visited the venue to assess security and logistical preparedness.
Highlighting the importance of the initiative, Notified President Mitul Mehta stated that when innocent children lose their lives due to lack of blood, it becomes the responsibility of every citizen to step forward and donate. He stressed that blood cannot be manufactured in factories and is one of nature’s most precious gifts, making donation a duty of humanity.
Industrialist Keyur Patel of Maxon India Pvt. Ltd. also appealed to the community to contribute, emphasizing that even a small act of blood donation could save a child’s life, which is the true essence of humanity.
The camp is expected not only to provide a lifeline for thalassemia-affected children but also to strengthen the spirit of compassion and solidarity within society. The event stands as a reminder of how collective social responsibility can make a profound difference in saving lives.
