In a disturbing incident from Pandesara, Surat, a young man attempted to lure a six-year-old girl away with malicious intent. However, thanks to lessons on 'good touch, bad touch' she had learned at school, the girl managed to resist the assailant and escape. The entire incident was captured on a CCTV camera installed nearby. Based on the footage, the girl's father lodged a complaint with the local police, who have since taken legal action against the accused.
The incident occurred when the girl was playing alone near the staircase of her home. Seizing the opportunity, the youth attempted to coax her into accompanying him. However, the young girl remembered her school's teachings on inappropriate touch and raised a loud protest. Fearing attention, the young man promptly abandoned his effort and fled the scene.
Upon returning home, the visibly shaken girl recounted the incident to her father. Neighbors, who had also become aware of the incident, persuaded the father to report the incident to the police.
The CCTV footage from the building's staircase provided crucial evidence, capturing the youth in the act of trying to lure the child. Upon the father's complaint, the Pandesara police acted swiftly, arresting 23-year-old Rajan Jiten Gupta in connection with the incident. The investigation into the matter is ongoing.
