VADODARA - A prominent Jain Sadhvi, Gyan Darshana Maharaj, suffered severe injuries in a hit-and-run accident near Karjan, on the National Highway. The incident took place as she and around 13 others were undertaking a Vihar from Palej near the Patia of Dethan village.
According to local sources, a speeding truck traveling from Bharuch to Vadodara struck the Sadhvi from behind and fled the scene immediately after the accident. Known in her worldly life as Khushbu Sanjay Shah, Sadhvi Maharaj was rushed to a private hospital in Vadodara for urgent medical treatment.
News of the incident quickly spread throughout the Jain community, causing a large number of concerned individuals to flock to the hospital. Meanwhile, the Karjan police have registered a case against the unidentified truck driver and have launched a manhunt to apprehend him.
