Surat Tea Stall Brews Interest in 'The Kerala Story' With Free Beverage Offer

SURAT — In a unique marketing maneuver, a local tea shop in Surat is encouraging film enthusiasts to watch 'The Kerala Story,' a movie currently making waves across the country. Rajan Singh, the owner of Kesariya Cha Shop, is offering a free cup of tea or coffee to anyone who presents a ticket from the film.

Located next to Bhagwan Mahavir University in the Vesu area of Surat, the Kesariya Cha Shop has attracted an influx of moviegoers since the promotion began on May 8th. More than 50 young patrons have already taken advantage of the free beverage offer, which will run until May 15th.

Singh, a 42-year-old originally from Banaras, expressed his satisfaction with the scheme. He believes the promotion not only boosts business but also encourages more people to watch 'The Kerala Story.' The film, which has been made tax-free in several states, has sparked considerable debate and drawn attention to important issues depicted within its narrative.

"I watched the trailer for 'The Kerala Story' and then saw the film with my family after its release," said Singh. "The idea behind this offer is to create awareness among the youth about the situations portrayed in the film."

Singh's promotion aligns with similar initiatives by other organizations in Surat, such as private companies providing free movie screenings. Notably, the nursing staff of Surat Navi Civil Hospital were also treated to a viewing of the film.

As the film continues to generate buzz, Surat's residents are not only engaging in important conversations but also enjoying a warm cup of tea or coffee on the house.
