Surat’s Jenil Bhayani Tops Gujarat in NEET 2025, Secures All India Rank 6

Surat – The NEET 2025 results declared today by the National Testing Agency brought pride to Surat as Jenil Bhayani, a student of P.P. Savani School, secured the top rank in Gujarat and an impressive All India Rank (AIR) 6. Scoring 680 out of 720 marks, Jenil credited his success to his two years of consistent hard work, dedicated teachers, and supportive parents.

Expressing his joy, Jenil thanked his teachers and parents for guiding him through the journey. "My teachers resolved all my doubts promptly and constantly motivated me. I believe the key to success is continuous preparation and regular revision of whatever one studies," he said.

Jenil shared that this year’s paper was considerably tougher compared to the last five or six years. He followed a disciplined study plan, dedicating 5 to 6 hours daily after school and strictly avoiding social media. "I used my phone only for essential study-related tasks. Wasting time on social media could have cost me my rank," he noted.

Reflecting on the exam experience, Jenil said the biology and chemistry sections were manageable, but physics was especially challenging. “I usually finished mock tests in one and a half hours, but during the actual exam, I used the full three hours, mostly due to the physics section,” he shared.

For revision, Jenil adopted a unique method. He maintained a separate notebook for quick points and important topics, which helped him save time and improve retention. He also kept a dedicated copy to record and review his mistakes, ensuring he didn’t repeat them.

Jenil began his NEET preparation in Class 9 through a foundation course at his school. Both his parents, who hold science degrees, consistently motivated him throughout his academic journey. Apart from NEET, Jenil also appeared for JEE and scored an impressive 99.99 percentile.

Despite scoring 680 in NEET, Jenil believes a little more attention could have placed him at the top. “Only three questions went wrong. The AIR 1 scorer has 686 marks—just six marks ahead,” he said.

Jenil had earlier scored 96% in Class 10 and over 97% in Class 12, reflecting his strong academic track record. His dream is to pursue MBBS from AIIMS Delhi and later specialize in surgery through a super-specialty MS program.
