Surat: Located in the bustling Ramwadi-Salabatpura area on Ring Road, Tirupati Textile Market has emerged as one of the key centers of Surat’s thriving textile trade. Established in 1996, the market today houses a total of 975 shops and is known for its strong presence in the wholesale garment fabric segment.

The market is managed by an organized committee of 15 members. According to Purushottam Agrawal, Director of FOSTTA (Federation of Surat Textile Traders Association) and proprietor of Jai Ambe Textile Market, the current management team includes President Sudhirbhai Allahabadi, Vice President Rakesh Agrawal, Secretary Sajid Dangra, and Treasurer Rajesh Agrawal.

Purushottam Agrawal, who has been active in the textile trade for over 23 years, shared that his business is focused on garment fabrics and caters to major metropolitan cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, and Ahmedabad. He noted that while doing business has become more challenging compared to the past, the role of FOSTTA has been significant in resolving critical issues—especially traffic congestion in the Ramwadi area, which previously hindered operations.

Tirupati Textile Market is especially known for its wholesale business in dress materials, sarees, salwar suits, dupattas, and readymade garments. The market operates both offline and online, though most transactions are conducted through verified and reputed agents to ensure reliability and transparency.

Rajesh Agrawal, Treasurer of the market committee and owner of Gun Nayak Creation, has been engaged in the textile business since 1996. Initially involved in saree trading, he now specializes in wholesale dress materials and dupattas. His clientele spans across Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and several other states.

Yes Patel, proprietor of Om Fashion, has been active in the textile business for 17 years. He deals primarily in suits and sarees, with his business focused on Gujarat and Maharashtra. Patel continues to follow the traditional business model through offline and telephonic orders.

Purushottam Agrawal further emphasized that numerous arrangements have been made within the market to ensure a secure, organized, and convenient environment for both traders and buyers. These measures have helped Tirupati Textile Market maintain its reputation as one of Surat’s premier textile trading hubs.
