Yoga Camp in Vadodara Ahead of International Yoga Day 2025: Over 10,000 Participants Join for a Healthier Gujarat

Vadodara – In a grand celebration ahead of International Yoga Day 2025, a large-scale yoga camp was held today at Navlakhi Ground in Vadodara. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from over 10,000 yoga practitioners and was jointly organized by the Gujarat State Yoga Board, Vadodara Municipal Corporation, and the District Administration.

The camp was conducted under the banner of the “Healthy Gujarat, Obesity-Free Gujarat” campaign, with the aim of promoting physical wellness and creating awareness about the benefits of yoga among the citizens.

The session was led by Yoga Sevak and Yoga Board Chairman Shishpal, who guided participants through various asanas known to help in weight management, including Surya Namaskar, Bhujangasana, Dhanurasana, Utkatasana, and Naukasana. He also introduced breathing techniques such as Kapalbhati and Anulom-Vilom, emphasizing their role in achieving mental and physical balance.

In his address, Shishpal stated, “Yoga connects not just the body, but the entirety of life. It aligns with fundamental aspects like nation-building, health, and cleanliness.” He also reiterated Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s message of adopting regular yoga practice and a balanced diet, encouraging attendees to commit to a disciplined and health-focused lifestyle.

The event saw the presence of Deputy Mayor Chirag Barot, Chief Dr. Jayprakash Soni, ruling party leader Manojbhai Patel, several corporators, yoga instructors, and citizens. The camp, held from 5:30 AM to 7:30 AM, marked a significant step toward combating obesity and promoting holistic health through yoga.

The event was not only a demonstration of physical discipline but also a pledge towards a more conscious and healthy society.
