Surat: Varachha Co-operative Bank Limited, a leading financial institution based in Surat, has achieved national recognition by winning three prestigious awards at the Bharat Ratna Cooperative Awards 2025, held under the Bharat Co-operative Banking Summit-2025. The awards highlight the bank’s excellence in digital innovation, cybersecurity practices, and non-performing asset (NPA) management.
For the second consecutive year, the bank was honored with the "Best Digital Bank of the Year" award, a testament to its robust digital infrastructure and commitment to advancing Digital India. In addition, Varachha Bank received accolades for the "Best Cybersecurity Initiative" and "Best NPA Management." The jury appreciated the bank’s efforts in maintaining a net NPA of zero and reducing its gross NPA from 1.22% to an impressive 0.80%, showcasing strong financial governance and customer trust.
With a business turnover exceeding ₹5,800 crore, Varachha Co-operative Bank continues to make significant strides in cooperative banking, adopting modern technologies while maintaining rigorous standards of cybersecurity. The award ceremony was held in Mumbai, where Bank Chairman Bhavanbhai Navpara, General Manager Vitthalbhai Dhanani, AGM Shaileshbhai Bhut, and IT Head AGM Pareshbhai Kelawala received the honors on behalf of the bank.
