Vadodara, May 20 – Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID), Western Region-II, Regional Headquarters, Vadodara, organized a cleanliness rally as part of the Swachhta Pakhwada 2025 initiative. The fortnight-long campaign, being observed from May 16 to May 31, aims to promote awareness around cleanliness and environmental sustainability.
As per agency report, the rally commenced from the POWERGRID regional office and followed a designated route through nearby areas to spread the message of hygiene and environmental protection. Participants carried banners and slogans, engaging with the local community to highlight the importance of clean surroundings and eco-friendly practices.
Several senior officials from POWERGRID took part in the event, including S.K. Das (Executive Director – AM), S.D.C.S. Rao (Senior General Manager – C&M), Vineet Kumar (Senior General Manager – PESM), and the General Manager (Vigilance). Their collective presence underscored the organization's commitment to integrating cleanliness into everyday life.
In addition to the rally, various activities such as competitions, seminars, and awareness programs are being organized throughout the fortnight. These initiatives aim to instill sustainable cleanliness habits among citizens and reinforce the importance of public participation in maintaining a hygienic environment.
The campaign reflects POWERGRID’s strong sense of social responsibility and its active contribution to the nationwide Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.
