Dilip Jaiswal of Jaunpur Continues His Devotion to Social Welfare and Native Roots
Surat, April 16: Dilip Jaiswal, originally from Uttar Pradesh’s Jaunpur district, has been residing in Surat, Gujarat, with his family for the past 27 years.
Jaiswal firmly believes that serving the poor, orphans, the helpless, and the needy is the greatest form of righteousness. Alongside his social work, he has maintained active involvement in religious events, particularly through his dedicated leadership of the Ichhapurti Mahadev Kanwaria Sangh for 11 consecutive years. Even today, he continues to support the group in a patron role and is committed to carrying on this service.
Throughout his time in Surat, Jaiswal has been an enthusiastic contributor to various religious gatherings and community kitchens. During the hardships of the COVID-19 pandemic, he took it upon himself to distribute ration kits to underprivileged families. Additionally, he arranged free refreshments for police officers and media professionals who were tirelessly working on the frontlines.
Jaiswal expressed his gratitude, stating that the blessings of thousands in the community have enabled him to overcome adversity and continue moving toward a better future. He emphasized that education is the key to social progress, insisting that prioritizing children’s education is essential for bringing marginalized communities into the mainstream.
He also believes that if any member of a society or family is in crisis, it is the collective duty of the community to extend support. For him, true service is defined by wholehearted dedication in spirit, effort, and resources. Encouraging youth participation in governance and administration, he advocated for empowering young people to build not only their own future but that of the society at large.
