Assessment Camps Scheduled in Vadodara District to Provide Aids to Persons with Disabilities

Vadodara, March 26 – In a joint initiative by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India, the Government of Gujarat, Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation of India (ALIMCO), Kanpur, and the Vadodara district administration, a series of assessment camps are being organized across the district for persons with disabilities.
As per agency report, the purpose of these camps is to evaluate and register individuals with 40 percent or more disabilities and provide them with assistive devices such as tricycles, motorized tricycles, smartphones, wheelchairs, walkers, hearing aids, TLM kits, prosthetic limbs, and calipers to enhance their mobility and daily living capabilities.
The assessment and registration camps will take place on the following dates and locations: April 4 at Community Health Center, Bajwa; April 5 at Deepak Foundation, Social Security Complex, Pensionpura; April 6 at Community Health Center, Waghodia; April 8 at Community Health Center, Savli; and April 9 at Community Health Center, Desar.
To register at the camps, applicants must bring two passport-size photographs, a UDID card or registration number indicating 40 percent or more disability, a certified disability certificate, and a copy of Aadhaar card or a proof of residence.

This initiative is expected to bring essential aid and greater independence to the differently-abled residents of the district.
