NTPC Kawas Organizes Stakeholder Dialogue Meeting to Enhance CSR Initiatives

Kawas, 21 March 2025: NTPC Kawas organized a stakeholder dialogue meeting on 21 March 2025 to strengthen its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives. The meeting, chaired by the Head of Project (Kawas), Mr. Suresh John David, witnessed participation from Sarpanches and teachers from nearby villages. During the meeting, ongoing CSR initiatives were discussed, and stakeholders shared valuable suggestions aimed at further reinforcing NTPC Kawas' commitment to inclusive and sustainable development.

Stakeholders appreciated NTPC Kawas’ proactive approach in addressing community needs and acknowledged the company’s efforts in ensuring the successful and timely implementation of CSR initiatives. The discussion highlighted various key initiatives undertaken by NTPC Kawas, including the installation of LED lights to enhance village infrastructure and safety, renovation of ponds to promote water conservation and sustainability in rural areas, and vocational training programs to equip the youth with employable skills.

Additionally, the company deliberated on actively promoting cultural and sports training to encourage the holistic development of school students and facilitating the establishment of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) lab to enhance educational opportunities through science and technology, thereby making CSR initiatives more impactful. Stakeholders also provided constructive suggestions during the meeting and discussed additional areas where CSR support could further promote community welfare.
