Varachha Co-op Bank Provides ₹27 Lakh Insurance Assistance to Late Employee’s Family

Surat, March 11 – Varachha Co-operative Bank, one of Gujarat’s leading cooperative banks, has once again demonstrated its commitment to employee welfare by providing extensive insurance coverage to its staff. Recently, a young bank employee, Sanjaybhai Ukkadbhai Tadvi, passed away due to a heart attack. As per report, the bank extended financial assistance of ₹27 lakh to his family under its comprehensive insurance scheme.

Varachha Bank offers insurance coverage ranging from ₹25 lakh to ₹1 crore for all its employees, with the entire premium covered by the bank. Under the bank’s staff group term policy, the late Sanjaybhai was eligible for ₹25 lakh in insurance coverage, along with an additional ₹2 lakh under the Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana, bringing the total assistance to ₹27 lakh. The cheque was handed over to his family in the presence of Bank President Bhavanbhai Navapara, Management Board Chairman Kanjibhai Bhalala, General Manager Vitthalbhai Dhanani, and Deputy General Manager Sureshbhai Kakadiya.

Sanjaybhai hailed from a modest background. His father, Ukkadbhai Tadvi, is engaged in farming in Rajpipla, while his wife, Ushaben, is a homemaker. The family includes a daughter studying in Class 11 and a son pursuing his first year in BAMS. This financial aid has provided much-needed support to the bereaved family.

In addition to the insurance support, the bank’s employees voluntarily contributed to further assist Sanjaybhai’s wife financially. At the request of the General Manager, staff members pooled funds to offer additional monetary assistance. Bharatbhai Joshi, the bank’s insurance department manager, highlighted that Varachha Bank not only provides banking services but also fulfills its social responsibility by prioritizing the welfare of its employees and their families. This initiative serves as a commendable example of the bank’s commitment and sensitivity toward its workforce.
