Thieves Target Two Temples in Vadodara, Loot Donation Box from Siddheshwar Mahakali Temple
Vadodara, March 3: A gang of thieves attempted to loot two temples in Vadodara's Tarasali area late at night, breaking into the Siddheshwar Mahakali Temple and the Sai Baba Temple. The culprits successfully broke open the donation box at the Siddheshwar Mahakali Temple, stealing thousands of rupees. The entire incident was captured on the temple's CCTV cameras, based on which the police have launched an investigation.
As per report, the complaint was filed by Tarasali Vijay Nagar resident Dharmesh Patel (Bango), who informed the police that the Siddheshwar Mahakali Mahadev Temple, which has been in existence for over 35 years, was targeted by thieves after it was locked for the night. The gang entered the premises and broke open the donation box, stealing an estimated amount of Rs. 25,000 to Rs. 30,000. Authorities have been alerted, and efforts are underway to identify and apprehend the culprits.
While the Siddheshwar Mahakali Temple suffered financial loss, it was also reported that the same gang attempted to break into the donation box of the nearby Sai Baba Temple. However, they were unsuccessful in their attempt and fled the scene. Upon receiving reports of the incidents, police arrived at both locations and began examining CCTV footage to track down the suspects.
The theft at the temple has sparked outrage among local residents, who have demanded strict action against those responsible. The police are continuing their investigation, and efforts are being made to ensure the security of religious places in the area.
