Vadodara Health Department Launches Extensive NCD Screening Campaign

Vadodara: The Vadodara District Health Department has initiated a significant healthcare drive aimed at screening individuals aged 30 and above for diabetes, hypertension, and three types of cancer—oral, breast, and cervical. This ambitious campaign will be conducted from February 20, 2025, to March 31, 2025, across all Ayushman Arogya Mandirs, government primary health centers, and community health centers.

As part of the NP-NCD (National Program for Non-Communicable Diseases) initiative, health department teams will conduct door-to-door screenings for early diagnosis. Additionally, citizens can visit district hospitals, community health centers, primary health centers, and Ayushman Arogya Mandirs for free screenings.

A key feature of this campaign is the immediate provision of medical examinations and treatment for suspected cases. To ensure patient confidentiality, all information collected by ASHA workers and Ayushman Arogya Mandir teams will be kept strictly confidential.

The Chief District Health Officer emphasized the importance of early detection in preventing, controlling, and eliminating non-communicable diseases (NCDs) and has urged all eligible individuals to take full advantage of this initiative.
