Spiritual Leader Acharyashree Mahashraman Brings Aura of Enlightenment to Surat
Thousands Gather to Celebrate Akshaya Tritiya Festival and Welcome the Peace Ambassador
Surat, Gujarat - The Diamond and Silk City of Surat was illuminated by the spiritual presence of Acharyashree Mahashramanji, a revered Jain spiritual leader, on Saturday. Thousands of devotees and admirers filled the streets to witness the historic moment as Acharyashree arrived for the Akshaya Tritiya festival after a 20-year absence.
The streets, usually bustling with heavy traffic, were filled with an ocean of devotees from both the Terapanth Samaj and the local community, eager to greet the ambassador of peace. Acharyashree's visit coincides with the auspicious eight-day stay during the Akshaya Tritiya festival.
Setting off from Terapanth Bhavan in Parvatpatia, the spiritual procession made its way towards Bhagwan Mahavir University campus, where Acharyashree will be staying. The 11-kilometer journey was filled with enthusiasm, as devotees eagerly sought a glimpse of the great ascetic moving through the city.
Upon arrival at Bhagwan Mahavir International School, Acharyashree addressed the gathering, emphasizing the importance of devotion in the practice of spirituality. He spoke about the need for humility, dedication, and unconditionality in one's devotion, which can pave the way for liberation in life.
Various representatives, including the Chairman of Akshaya Tritiya Arrangement Committee-Surat, Sanjay Surana, and Corporator of Vesu Vistar, Himanshu Bhai Roulji, expressed their faith in welcoming Acharyashree. The event also featured a welcome song by Terapanth Samaj-Surat, a soulful presentation by students of Surat Gyanshala, and a resolution by the youth of Terapanth Kishor Mandal-Surat to undertake 108 fasts in honor of Acharyashree.
