Bollywood Actor Govinda Discharged from Hospital After Accidental Gunshot Injury
Mumbai: Bollywood actor Govinda has been discharged from the hospital after being injured by an accidental discharge of his licensed firearm at his home. A video of Govinda leaving the hospital has surfaced, showing him seated in a wheelchair. The video, shared by paparazzi on Instagram, captured the actor thanking his fans and well-wishers for their prayers.
Govinda expressed his gratitude to the media, saying, "Thank you to everyone who prayed for us."
Reports indicate that Govinda received 8-10 stitches on his leg, and while he has been released from the hospital, doctors have advised him to rest for at least the next 3-4 months. Dr. Agarwal, the attending physician, mentioned that Govinda should avoid putting too much weight on his leg during this recovery period.
The police have already questioned Govinda about the incident, but they remain unsatisfied with his responses. Authorities suspect that Govinda may have pulled the trigger himself, and there are still several unanswered questions surrounding the event. Due to the nature of the incident, the police plan to question the actor again following his discharge from the hospital.
To recall, on Tuesday, October 1, Govinda was injured when his licensed firearm accidentally discharged, hitting him in the leg. He was admitted to CritiCare Hospital in Andheri, Mumbai, where surgeons successfully removed the bullet from his leg. After four days of treatment, Govinda was finally discharged from the hospital today.
