Bollywood Actor Govinda Hospitalized After Accidental Gunshot at Juhu Residence

Mumbai, October 1: Bollywood actor Govinda was hospitalized on Tuesday morning after accidentally shooting himself in the leg with his licensed revolver at his Juhu residence. The actor was preparing to leave for Kolkata when the incident occurred. He was immediately rushed to the hospital, where doctors successfully performed surgery to remove the bullet.

According to reports, Govinda was placing his licensed firearm in a cupboard when it slipped from his hand, causing the gun to fire and hit his leg. His condition is now stable following the surgery. Govinda’s manager, Shashi Sinha, confirmed that the actor is currently under medical care.

In his first response following the accident, Govinda reassured his fans, saying, "I am fine, thanks to everyone's blessings. The bullet was accidentally discharged, and it has been removed through surgery. I am grateful to the doctors and all of you for your prayers."

Govinda’s daughter, Tina Ahuja, provided an update on her father’s condition, saying, "I am with him in the ICU right now. I can’t say much at the moment, but he is doing fine." She further added that the surgery was successful, and all medical tests have come back positive.

Following the incident, police visited Govinda’s residence, inspected the scene, and confiscated the licensed revolver. An investigation into the matter is underway.
