Aamir Khan Reveals He Was Never Offered a Film by Subhash Ghai

Mumbai, March 11 – Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan, who has worked with several acclaimed directors and producers, recently revealed that he was never offered a film by veteran filmmaker Subhash Ghai. During a chat session with lyricist and screenwriter Javed Akhtar, Aamir expressed his admiration for Ghai’s work and shared his desire to collaborate with him, but mentioned that the opportunity never came his way.

Prior to this conversation, Aamir attended the Aamir Khan: Cinema Ka Jadugar film festival in Mumbai, where he shared several anecdotes from his cinematic journey. During the event, Javed Akhtar praised Aamir’s risk-taking approach, citing Dangal as an example, where he played an aging wrestler who loses to his daughter. He remarked that such a role required immense courage, something that set Aamir apart from others in the industry.

Reflecting on his career choices, Aamir stated that making selective decisions became a principle early in his life. Despite facing struggles in finding good scripts after his debut in Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak, he was firm about not compromising on quality. He recounted how even in his most challenging times, he had the courage to turn down projects that did not resonate with him. He specifically mentioned rejecting a film by Mahesh Bhatt, despite his dire circumstances, because he was not convinced by the script.

Aamir Khan is widely regarded as an actor who dares to experiment, delivering films that leave a lasting impact both at the box office and in cinematic culture. His illustrious filmography includes Andaz Apna Apna, Rang De Basanti, Sarfarosh, Taare Zameen Par, 3 Idiots, Dil Chahta Hai, and Dangal, among others.
