Surat: A terrifying incident unfolded in Surat's Adajan area on Sunday when 16 people, including six children and five women, became trapped in an elevator at a restaurant located in the Royal Trade Center. The group had just finished dining when the elevator abruptly stopped on the first floor, causing panic among those inside.
Upon receiving the distress call, the fire department swiftly arrived at the scene and initiated a rescue operation. After nearly 25 minutes of effort, all 16 people were safely evacuated from the stuck elevator.
Eyewitnesses reported that the elevator had a maximum capacity of 10 people, but the overcrowding of 16 individuals led to the malfunction. The fire department's prompt response ensured the safe rescue of all those trapped.
