Over 1,000 Visitors Attend on Second Day; Industry Leaders Report Strong Interest and Orders
Surat — The three-day Garfab Exhibition, showcasing embroidery, textile, sewing, and digital printing machines, is receiving an overwhelming response at the Sarsana International Convention Centre in Surat. Running from September 13 to 15, the event brings together state-of-the-art textile machinery from various cities across India, including Surat, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, and Delhi, all under one roof.
On the second day of the exhibition, Saturday, entrepreneurs and industry professionals from the textile sector—particularly those involved in embroidery and garment manufacturing—visited the stalls in large numbers. After evaluating the quality of advanced machines suited to their needs, many placed substantial orders. While the first day saw approximately 600 visitors, the number surged to around 1,000 on the second day.
Significant Orders and Positive Feedback
Manvendra Pratap Singh of Alice Brand, based in Udhna, Surat, expressed his satisfaction with the exhibition's success. "We received a very positive response. On Saturday alone, we secured orders for 24 machines," he said. "About 700 visitors came to our stall, and we held meetings with 238 potential clients. In addition to the confirmed orders, many entrepreneurs have taken tokens to visit our office for further discussions."
He also mentioned that they have pending orders for approximately 200 units of their advanced embroidery machine, 'Chetak Shurveer,' with shipments planned for cities like Meerut in Uttar Pradesh, as well as Surat and Ahmedabad.
High Demand for Advanced Digital Printing Machines
Umesh Solanki of Orange Company, located in Sachin GIDC, noted a significant uptick in visitor interest on the second day. "The response has been excellent compared to the first day," he remarked. Specializing in advanced digital printing machines ranging from ₹55 lakh to ₹10 crore, Solanki stated that their products are in high demand not only in Surat's major industrial units but also across textile industries throughout India.
Interest in DTG and DTF Machines
Vishesh Shah of DCC Digital Print Company from Andheri, Mumbai, also reported a favorable reception. "We're getting a good response at the exhibition," he said. His company deals in screen printing machines, often referred to as 'Butterfly' or 'Octopus,' which are imported from China, Japan, and Korea. They manufacture Sublimation Screen Printing Machines, Direct-to-Garment (DTG), and Direct-to-Film (DTF) machines, priced between ₹4.5 lakh and ₹3 crore. "These machines are in consistent demand across the country's textile industries," Shah added.
Anticipated Orders in Coming Days
Dhanpat Pujari of DK Trading Company, based in Arihant Complex, Udhna, shared that while the exhibition had a mixed response, the large number of visitors on the second day was encouraging. "We offer various sewing machines, including Shaking Machines, Snap Button Machines, Fusing Machines, CNC Router Machines, Laser Machines, and Pleating Machines," he said. "Many visitors assessed the quality of our machines, and we expect to receive orders in the coming days."
Similarly, Kashish Jain and Viralbhai of Shreeji Sewing Machine (Letino) from Surat observed that although the immediate response wasn't overwhelming, the significant footfall at their stall gives them hope for future business. "Many visitors came and evaluated the quality of our machines, so we're expecting positive responses in the near future," they mentioned.
The Garfab Exhibition has successfully brought together industry leaders and potential buyers, facilitating meaningful interactions and business opportunities. With one day remaining, exhibitors are optimistic about closing more deals and strengthening their presence in the rapidly evolving textile machinery market.
