Surat — The three-day Garfab Exhibition commenced today at the Sarsana International Convention Centre in Surat, showcasing embroidery, textile, sewing, and digital printing machines all under one roof. Running from September 13 to 15, the exhibition features cutting-edge textile machinery from various cities across India, including Surat, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, and Delhi.

Textile machinery companies are displaying their full range of products at their stalls, with many launching new and advanced machines during the event. On the first day, entrepreneurs from the textile industry, especially those in the embroidery and garment sectors, were busy evaluating the quality of advanced machines according to their needs.

Commitment to Providing Advanced Embroidery Machines: Manvendra Pratap Singh

Manvendra Pratap Singh and Prathim Modi of Alice Brand, present at the Garfab Exhibition, told Loktej that they are committed to providing advanced machines to the embroidery industry. Following their earlier models like Alice 1.2, 1.5, and Chetak embroidery machines, they launched the new "Chetak Shurveer" machine on Friday.

"This machine boasts an 800,000-stitch production capacity, high upgrades, triple beads, and double sequin features, with 400 to 500 beams of 16 mm," they explained. Priced at approximately ₹25 lakh, the machine operates at a speed of 1800 RPM, offers top-grade finishing, and has zero vibration. "It features a display similar to a computer monitor and produces high-quality fabrics. This machine will be beneficial for all types of dresses and sarees, making it useful for the garment industry as well," they added.

200 Orders Pending for Chetak Shurveer

Singh and Modi mentioned that there is currently high demand for this machine. "We have about 200 orders pending for the Chetak Shurveer, with approximately 95% of the demand coming from Surat and the remaining 5% from Ahmedabad's textile industry," they noted.

When asked about Surat's textile industry moving towards becoming a garment hub, they said that to bring innovation to the textile sector, Alice Brand plans to launch the Chetak Shurveer with 104 heads next week. "Earlier, the machines had a normal pending graph, but now we are improving the dynamics. Previously, parts were made of plastic fiber, but now we are using aluminum and metal components," they explained.

Nationwide Demand for Shaking Machines: Nikunj Koladia

Nikunj Koladia of Jena Industries, located in BRC Udhna, told Loktej that they manufacture normal shaking machines (priced at ₹2.10 lakh) and automatic shaking machines (priced at ₹8 lakh), among other textile machines used for applying stickers on fabrics. "These machines are in demand across textile industries nationwide. The automatic shaking machine does not require labor; once set, it designs the patterns automatically," he said.

High Demand for Automatic Cutting and Gumming Machines: Vipulbhai

Pankaj Vekaria and Vipulbhai of Maxo Technology stated that they produce CNC machines, shaking machines, gumming machines, cutting machines, and hotfix machines. "These machines prepare designs through automatic cutting, gumming, and hotfixing," they explained.

Advanced Garment Machinery Available Under One Roof: Kashish Jain

Kashish Jain and Viralbhai of Shreeji Sewing Machines (Letino) in Surat told *Loktej* that they offer approximately 100 to 150 types of products for the garment industry. "All spare parts for these machines are always available. The machines we manufacture range in price from ₹21,000 to ₹3.5 lakh," they said.

They added, "We have all the advanced machines required to start and run a garment factory, from the initial setup to the final production stages. We are also committed to providing excellent maintenance services for all types of machines."
