Surat Police Bust Brothel Disguised as Hotel and Spa
Eight Thai Women Rescued, Several Arrests Made in Raid
Surat, India - Local police conducted a raid on a business operating under the guise of a hotel and spa named The Oro Rooms, located on the third floor of Vesu's Green Signature building in Surat. The raid resulted in the arrest of the hotel manager and the rescue of eight Thai women who were being exploited for prostitution.
During the operation, 52-year-old hotel manager Dinesh Badrinarayan Trivedi was apprehended. Two women and a customer were released after questioning. Investigations revealed that the hotel collected Rs 1,000 from the masseur and Rs 2,000 for prostitution services, with the women receiving Rs 500 per customer.
The Crime Branch's Anti-Human Trafficking Unit also exposed a brothel operating under the guise of a spa in a business hub located in front of the Pal RTO. Two managers, Pramod Rameshbhai Vaid and Ashish Tilakraj Singh, along with a customer, were arrested at the Lhasa Family Spa situated at Shop No. 309. The police successfully rescued eight Thai women from the establishment and seized Rs 8,000 in cash, three mobile phones, 10 condoms, and other items.
Shopkeeper Ajay Patel, shop tenant Sheikh Farid Shamsher, and an individual known as Waris alias Paris fled the scene and have been declared wanted by authorities, who are taking further action to apprehend them.
