Mumbai: Bollywood actress Sonakshi Sinha and her husband Zaheer Iqbal recently celebrated Ganesh Chaturthi, marking their first festival together since their interfaith marriage on June 23. The couple shared a video on social media performing the Ganesh aarti, underlining their respect and acceptance of each other's religious practices.

Their marriage earlier this year sparked considerable interest as it bridged religious divides, with Sonakshi being Hindu and Zaheer, Muslim. The couple, who had dated for seven years before tying the knot, chose to marry under the Special Marriage Act, 1954, which allows citizens of different faiths to marry without converting.
