Sunny Deol Announces 'Border 2' Featuring Diljit Dosanjh Following 'Gadar-2' Success

Mumbai - Bollywood actor Sunny Deol has confirmed that following the success of 'Gadar-2', he is all set to bring back the magic with the much-awaited sequel to his 1997 hit film 'Border'. The announcement was made via Sunny Deol’s social media, where he introduced Diljit Dosanjh as the newest member of the cast.

In a promotional video shared on his Instagram, Sunny Deol revealed that Diljit Dosanjh would be joining the film's ensemble. The promo video featured the iconic song 'Sandese Aate Hain' from the original 'Border' film, followed by a powerful dialogue delivered by Dosanjh, hinting at his role as a formidable defender on the frontlines.

Diljit Dosanjh also took to his Instagram to share his excitement about joining the project, “The enemy fires the first bullet, and we will fire the last,” quoting his line from the promo. He expressed his honor in depicting the valor and sacrifices of soldiers and being part of such a prestigious team.

In June, Sunny Deol had officially announced 'Border 2', promising to fulfill a 27-year-old promise made by a soldier to return. He stated, "27 years ago, a soldier promised that he would come back. He is returning to honor that promise and salute the soil of India." The sequel will be directed by Anurag Singh and is touted to be India's biggest war film to date.

Casting updates have been progressively revealed, with Ayushmann Khurrana and Varun Dhawan already confirmed to join the line-up. 'Border 2' is expected to hit theaters in 2025, continuing the legacy of one of Bollywood's most revered war dramas.
