'Stree-2' Outshines 'Animal,' Sets New Box Office Records

Mumbai – The much-anticipated horror-comedy *'Stree-2,'* starring Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao, has taken the box office by storm, surpassing records and creating new benchmarks. On Monday alone, the film garnered an impressive ₹6.5 crores, overtaking the record set by Ranbir Kapoor's *'Animal.'*

Within just 19 days of its release, *'Stree-2'* has amassed a whopping ₹508 crores, outpacing Sandeep Reddy Vanga's *'Animal,'* which had previously collected ₹505 crores. On the global stage, *'Stree-2'* has raked in ₹700 crores, securing the second position worldwide. The only film ahead of it is Prabhas's *'Kalki: 2898 AD,'* which has achieved an extraordinary ₹1,000 crore in earnings.

There is widespread speculation that *'Stree-2'* is on track to set even more records in the coming days. S.S. Rajamouli's *'Baahubali 2: The Conclusion'* currently holds a box office record with ₹511 crores, but *'Stree-2'* is expected to surpass this figure soon. If the film continues at its current pace, it could outshine blockbuster hits like Shah Rukh Khan's *'Pathaan'* (₹524.53 crores) and Sunny Deol's *'Gadar-2'* (₹525 crores) by the end of next week.

With no major releases slated for this month, *'Stree-2'* has a golden opportunity to dominate the box office further. It will be intriguing to see what new milestones this film will achieve.

Directed by Amar Kaushik, *'Stree-2'* features a star-studded cast including Shraddha Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao, Pankaj Tripathi, Tamannaah Bhatia, Varun Dhawan, Akshay Kumar, and Aparshakti Khurana, all playing pivotal roles.
