Surat - The Surat Textile Goods Transport Association conducted an important general meeting on Thursday, August 29, 2024, at Tulsi Hotel near the APMC Market, addressing key logistical changes in the transport sector. The meeting, starting at 4 PM, centered on recent concerns regarding the weight and size of parcels and issues related to the insurance of goods.

A consensus was reached during the meeting that from September 1, 2024, no transport company would accept parcels weighing more than 65 kilograms. This decision was supported unanimously among the attendees, reflecting a strategic move to streamline operations and enhance safety in goods transportation.
