Gujarat's Noted economist Dr. Kiran Pandya becomes Pro-Vost of Sarvajanik University

Surat. A well-known economist of Gujarat and a former member of the Central Statistical Organization, Dr. Kiran Pandya has been appointed as the Pro-Vost of Gujarat's leading Sarvajanik Education Society run Sarvajanik university. He formally assumed office on Friday.
Dr. Pandya has a PhD from the University of Sussex, England and later taught at Veer Narmad South Gujarat University and held various positions including In-charge Registrar, Head of Human Resource Development Department. Apart from teaching, he has also been actively involved with the Central Statistical Organization as a memeber and various projects of Government of Gujarat.
Dr.Pandya who not only teaches but also trains students in the practical fields, will now offer his services to the prestigious Sarvajanik university. He has also served at KP University, Vadodara and Uka Tarsadia University, Bardoli. The Sarvajanik Education society is one of the leading and oldest educational institutions in Gujarat, which runs the university.
On this occasion Dr. Pandya said, "The 112-year-old institute has a very good reputation. It is an honor to work for such an institute. The institute has excellent infrastructure as well as highly experienced and expert faculties. One of the most important things is that the trustees of the organization are well-known lawyers, chartered accountants and businessmen of the city who are highly experienced and highly educated.
