Missing 8-Year-Old Boy Found Safe 170 km from Surat

An 8-year-old boy from Udhna, Surat, went missing on July 8 after accompanying his father to a sewing machine shop. The boy got lost while playing, prompting a frantic search by his parents. When their efforts proved futile, they reported the incident to the police.

CCTV footage revealed the boy had made his way to the railway station and boarded a train. Surat police immediately alerted Nandurbar railway police, who conducted a thorough search of the train and found the child safe. The boy was discovered at Nandurbar, approximately 170 km from Surat.

The Nandurbar police safely handed the boy over to his relieved parents and provided them with counseling.

Deputy Commissioner of Police Bhagirath Gadhvi explained that the child had wandered off while playing. He praised the quick response and cooperation between Surat and Nandurbar police, emphasizing the importance of constant supervision of children to prevent such incidents.
