Fire Ravages Annapurna Dyeing Mill in Surat

A devastating fire broke out at Annapurna Dyeing Mill situated in Pandesara GIDC, Surat, on Sunday, triggering a swift response from firefighting teams.

Chief Fire Officer Basant Parikh reported that upon receiving the fire alert, 18 fire vehicles promptly arrived at the scene. The fire, fueled by highly flammable materials within the mill, quickly escalated, spreading smoke over a wide area. Despite the intensity, firefighters managed to control the blaze after a rigorous two-hour operation, averting any casualties.

Mayor Dakshesh Mavani, upon learning of the fire, personally visited the site to oversee operations. He directed fire officials to expedite containment efforts and sought information regarding the safety of mill workers and the absence of casualties.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the fire department as authorities work to determine its origin and prevent future incidents.
