Surat Art Silk Society Celebrates Golden Jubilee

Surat : The Surat Art Silk Cloth Producers Society marked its Golden Jubilee with a grand celebration on Thursday evening at Platinum Hall, Sarsana. The event was attended by members of the organization, former presidents, prominent industrialists, bank officials, and a large number of women.

The President of the organization, Bharatbhai Gandhi, welcomed the guests and honored former presidents with mementoes, shawls, and bouquets. He expressed pride in the organization’s fifty-year milestone and acknowledged the significant contributions of former presidents and office bearers, crediting them for the society’s current success and its vital role in Surat’s textile industry.

Special guest MP Mukesh Bhai Dalal praised the former presidents' contributions, highlighting the textile industry’s importance to Surat. He noted that a thriving textile industry boosts the city's overall enthusiasm and growth, with supporting industries also flourishing and contributing to Surat's progress.

Mihir Bhai Mehta, President of Sasmira from Mumbai, commended Bharatbhai Gandhi for his exceptional service to the textile industry. He lauded Gandhi's ability to collaborate effectively with the government and other stakeholders, calling his work style exemplary.

Vijay Mevawala, the newly elected President of SGCCI, congratulated the organization on its fifty-year achievement and wished it continued success and progress in the future.

The function concluded with Vice President Vasant Bhai Bachkaniwala thanking everyone, and Nikhil Madrasi, Vice President of the Chamber of Commerce, overseeing the remainder of the program. After the formalities, members enjoyed an evening of melodious music, ending the Golden Jubilee Festival with a delightful meal.
