Aditya L-1 instruments captured sun activities

New Delhi, June 10 (HS): Aditya-L1 mission has achieved another success. The mission's SUIT and VELC instruments have captured the dynamic activities of the Sun during May.

On Monday, the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) shared pictures of Aditya L One and said that several X-class and M-class flares associated with coronal mass ejections were recorded, causing significant geomagnetic storms.

It is noteworthy that India's first solar mission 'Aditya L1' was delivered to the halo orbit of the L1 point on January 6. The spacecraft has been installed in a halo orbit around the 'Lagrange Point 1' (L1) of the Sun-Earth system, about 15 lakh kilometers from Earth. This mission was launched from Sriharikota in Andhra Pradesh on September 2 last year.
