The horror film 'Munjya' is currently the talk of the town, making waves since its release on Friday, June 7. Directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, the film has been well-received by audiences, who are praising its engaging story and impressive VFX. As a result, 'Munjya' is enjoying significant box office success.

Starring Mona Singh, Sharvari Wagh, and Abhay Verma, 'Munjya' has become Maddock Films' fourth horror hit, following 'Stree', 'Roohi', and 'Bhediya'. The film is based on the Indian folklore legend of Munjya and has captivated viewers with its thrilling narrative and stunning visual effects.

'Munjya' had a strong opening day, collecting Rs 4 crore. The film's earnings surged by 81.25 percent on the second day, reaching Rs 7.25 crore. On its third day, Sunday, the film garnered Rs 7.75 crore, bringing the total box office collection for the weekend to Rs 19 crore.

With a production budget of Rs 30 crore, 'Munjya' has already recovered more than half of its costs in just three days. If the film continues to receive such a positive response from audiences, it is poised to recover its full budget within the first week.

Set against the backdrop of Konkan, where it was also filmed, 'Munjya' weaves a story based on the local legend. The Hindi film features an ensemble cast including Suhas Joshi, Mona Singh, Ajay Poklakar, Bhagyashree Limaye, and Shruti Marathe. With no major competitors in theaters at the moment, 'Munjya' is benefiting from the spotlight and drawing in large crowds.
