Elderly Woman's Jewelry Stolen on Train Journey in Vadodara

Vadodara - An elderly woman traveling on a Vadodara to Ahmedabad MEMU train fainted during her journey, only to regain consciousness two days later in Surat. The police have launched an investigation into the incident, as the woman's jewelry was reported missing.

80-year-old Rajiben Rohit, a resident of the Bakrawali area in Vadodara, was traveling to Ahmedabad on March 19 when she fainted on the train. She woke up two days later in Surat and was admitted to a local hospital for treatment. During this time, it was discovered that her gold earrings, silver anklets, clothes, railway pass, and Rs. 24,000 in cash were stolen.

Rajiben is still undergoing treatment and has no recollection of the incident, which has delayed the filing of a formal complaint. Nevertheless, based on the information provided, Vadodara Railway Police have initiated legal proceedings in the case.
