Surat – As temperatures in Surat climb to a blistering 41 degrees, the heatwave is making life difficult for residents. The intense heat is causing distress, particularly for those who need to venture outside for work. Drivers, in particular, are facing extreme discomfort while waiting at traffic signals.
In response, Surat Police have launched a unique initiative to alleviate the heat's impact. 'Green Net' shades have been installed at 10 traffic signals across the city, offering drivers some respite from the scorching sun. These nets provide much-needed shade and help reduce the discomfort caused by the intense heat.
Prior to this initiative, drivers had to endure the full force of the sun while waiting at signals. The new 'Green Net' shades are providing a welcome relief, allowing drivers to cool off momentarily.
