Surat Police Seize MD Drugs and Intoxicating Syrup

Surat police arrest two drug smugglers and seize 2.60 grams of MD drugs and 122 bottles of intoxicating syrup. Three other accused are on the run. The arrested individuals were involved in previous thefts and drug-related activities, according to police.

Surat police conducted a successful raid resulting in the arrest of two drug smugglers. The raid yielded 2.60 grams of MD drugs and 122 bottles of intoxicating syrup. However, three other suspects managed to evade capture.

The police were tipped off about drug sales near the Sher Ali Bawa Dargah in Rustampura Akbar Sahid Tila. Acting on this information, the police launched the raid that led to the arrests.

During the raid, Mohammad Kamil Suleman Shaikh, 28, and Rizwan Iqbal Shaikh, 20, were apprehended. The police recovered 2.60 grams of the banned drug Mephedrone, 122 small bottles of intoxicating Connex T syrup, a mobile phone, and Rs 3400 in cash from the suspects.

Additionally, three individuals—Shahid, Vicky Shantaram Bhave, and Sohil Ismail Khanjar—are currently wanted in connection with the incident.

It has been revealed that both arrested individuals were previously involved in thefts in Salabatpura and Railway Police Station areas. The police had received intelligence suggesting their involvement in drug consumption and trafficking.

A case has been registered against all the accused, and investigations are ongoing. The police are optimistic about apprehending the remaining members of the gang soon.
