Father's Alleged Death Exposed on Facebook

A 23-year-old in Surat finds his father, thought dead for 18 years, on Facebook. His father, Mahendra Singh, had left his first family for a new life. Reunited briefly, Singh's second marriage revelation leads to a police case, with both families filing complaints against each other.

A remarkable and troubling story unfolded in Surat when a 23-year-old man, Mahavir, discovered his father, Mahendra Singh, alive and well on Facebook, despite being told he had died 18 years ago. Singh had left his wife, Ramilaben, and their four children to start a new life with another woman in Dakor, Gujarat.

Mahavir, who lives with his mother and sisters, stumbled upon Singh's Facebook profile eight months ago. Shocked and curious, he reached out to his father, who admitted to his identity. A joyous reunion followed, with Singh bringing gifts and spending time with his old family in Surat.

However, the happiness was short-lived. When the family learned of Singh's second marriage and his reluctance to include them in his new life, tensions rose. Singh allegedly fled after revealing his remarriage and the existence of a daughter from this union, claiming to run a shop named 'New Riddhi Siddhi Jeans Cloth' in Dakor.

Determined to confront Singh, the family tracked him down to Dakor, where they met his second wife, Jayshree Ben. Singh then accused his old family of blackmail, leading to a police case. Ramilaben has also filed a case against Singh in Surat. Sub Inspector JD Pandya is handling the investigation.

This saga has not only exposed a complex web of relationships but also underscores the impact of social media in unraveling long-buried secrets.
