Technical Glitch Halts Vande Bharat Express at Surat Station

The Vande Bharat Express traveling from Ahmedabad to Mumbai experienced a technical fault at Surat station, causing doors to remain closed for over an hour. Passengers expressed frustration over the delay, prompting a high-level inquiry by the Railway Department.

The Vande Bharat Express, on its journey from Ahmedabad to Mumbai, encountered a technical malfunction this morning, leading to an unexpected halt at Surat railway station. The glitch prevented the train's doors from opening, leaving passengers stranded and frustrated.

The train arrived at Surat station at 8:20 a.m., and as passengers prepared to disembark, the doors failed to open. This caused panic among the passengers, prompting railway staff to intervene manually. After an hour-long effort, the doors of the C-14 coach were finally opened, allowing passengers to exit the train slowly.

Engineers from the Railway Department arrived promptly, identified the fault, and resolved the issue. However, the delay resulted in the train running behind schedule by about an hour. Railway officials have issued an apology for the inconvenience caused.

In response to the incident, the Railway Department has initiated a high-level inquiry to investigate the technical glitch and ensure the safety and convenience of passengers on future journeys.
