Under the leadership of Pawan Bajaj, President of Surat District Maheshwari Sabha, and Atin Baheti, Secretary, a meeting was held to discuss in detail the plans for celebrating Mahesh Navami (June 23), the foundation day of the Maheshwari community, in a grand, historical, and participatory manner. Sunil Baheti and Satish Kothari were unanimously appointed as the main coordinators for Mahesh Navami Festival-2026.
Media in-charge Sunil Maheshwari and Mahesh Pungaliya informed that a series of various programs will be organized from June 14 to June 28 as part of the Mahesh Navami Festival. During this period, sports competitions, cultural and religious events, social activities, and a two-day mega blood donation camp for social service will be organized. Various regional Maheshwari sabhas and many organizations of the community actively participated in the meeting.
The members present offered their suggestions to make the festival successful and assured full cooperation. The officials stated that Mahesh Navami is not just a religious festival but a symbol of the glorious traditions, cultural heritage, and social unity of the Maheshwari community.
Keeping this spirit in mind, it was resolved to make this year's festival more extensive, grand, and beneficial for the public, ensuring active participation from every family in the community. They mentioned that through Mahesh Navami Festival-2026, efforts will be made to further strengthen the spirit of social harmony, service, values, and organization, thereby reinforcing the tradition of unity and cooperation within the community.
