The Surat International Textile and Machinery Expo (SITME) 2024, a three-day event co-organized by the South Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SGCCI) and the Surat Embroidery Association (SEA), attracted a massive crowd of buyers, traders, and merchants from across India.

Surge in Buyer Interest and Machinery Demonstration

SGCCI President Ramesh Vaghasia reported a significant surge in buyer enthusiasm for machinery purchases during the exhibition. The first two days alone saw nearly 14,000 buyers visiting the event, with a strong turnout expected for the final day as well. Leading Surat textile brands participated in the expo, showcasing their cutting-edge advancements in embroidery and digital printing machinery. This included high-speed machines with capabilities like 1500 RPM, twin sequences, and multi-bead options, alongside a range of embroidery machines offering 4 to 8 sequences.

Boost for the Textile Industry

The SITME expo is expected to benefit not just embroiderers but also weavers and traders across the textile industry. Both exhibitors and buyers expressed optimism for substantial business generation as a result of the event.
