Surat Municipal Corporation Launches Extensive Voter Awareness Campaign

In a bid to boost voter participation in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, the Surat Municipal Corporation has rolled out several initiatives aimed at raising voter awareness. For the first time, the Municipal Corporation will be displaying voter awareness advertisements on 57 LED screens across the city. Additionally, a unique approach involving playing different jingle tunes on 1048 for door-to-door garbage collection has been adopted to appeal to voters to cast their votes.

The voter awareness campaign includes the placement of advertisements on all government and semi-government properties in Surat. Banners promoting voting awareness and providing guidance for maximum voter turnout have been strategically placed at key locations such as the Surat International Airport, Railway Station, Central Bus Station, Zilla Seva Sadan, Municipal Corporation Head Office, all regional offices, Citizen Facilitation Centre, Multiplex Theatre, and various malls.

Furthermore, the Municipal Corporation has introduced various innovative measures to engage voters. Apart from the jingle tunes played on 1048, banners related to voting awareness have been installed on 57 LED screens to capture people's attention and promote voter awareness in the city.

As part of the voter awareness program, the Municipal Corporation has been organizing events where voters pledge to not only vote themselves but also encourage their families to participate in the electoral process. These efforts are geared towards ensuring maximum voter turnout and fostering a sense of civic responsibility among the residents of Surat.
