Surat Women Entrepreneurs Immersed in Art and Culture at Nita Mukesh Ambani Arts Centre

Over 100 women entrepreneurs from Surat, led by the Ladies Wing of the South Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SGCCI), embarked on a cultural visit to the Nita Mukesh Ambani Arts and Cultural Centre in Mumbai.

The delegation, comprised of prominent figures like Women's Wing President Manishaben Bodawala, Co-President Geetaben Vaghasia, Secretary Plavanmi Dave, Members Mayuriben Mewawala and Alpaben Madrasi, along with women staff members, had the opportunity to explore a world of art and heritage.

A Multifaceted Experience:

The Nita Mukesh Ambani Arts Centre offered a captivating experience for the visiting entrepreneurs. They toured the expansive 16,000-square-foot, four-storey art house, equipped with cutting-edge technology to showcase works by both Indian and international artists. A highlight of the visit was the immersive infinity mirror installation by renowned artist Yayoi Kusama. The group also received insights into the three-dimensional paintings that embodied the architectural power dynamics of the Centre's art space.

Beyond Art: Exploring Time and Traditions

The entrepreneurs delved deeper into artistic expression by viewing the "Temporal Universe" exhibit by Rakus Media. This collection featured 27 unique timepieces that displayed emotions instead of conventional time zones. The visit also encompassed contemporary art series like "Chaal," showcasing the versatility of bamboo art, and "Sultana Ki Haqiqat," portraying the lives of women. The group further indulged in retail therapy and enjoyed a delightful musical performance at the flea market held within the Jio Garden complex.

Celebrating Indian Craftsmanship:

The cultural immersion culminated in a visit to the Swadesh store, housed within the Arts Centre. This store serves as a platform for Indian artisans and craftspeople to showcase their exquisite creations. The women entrepreneurs had the opportunity to admire the diverse range of art, crafts, and ethnic products, gaining a deeper appreciation for Indian craftsmanship.
