Chaos in Vadodara as Stone Pelting Disrupts Ramnavmi Procession: Police Restore Order
Vadodara: A procession organized by the Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal for Ramnavmi was disrupted by sudden stone pelting, leading to panic and chaos among the attendees. The agitated mob vandalized lorries parked on the road, causing shopkeepers to quickly shut down their businesses. However, the police swiftly arrived on the scene and managed to bring the situation under control.
The incident occurred as the procession, accompanied by music, passed through Fatepura Panjrigar Mohalla. The day was marked by Ramnavmi celebrations at various Ramji temples throughout the city. A peace committee meeting had been held by the police with leaders of both the communities prior to the event, which took place during the month of Ramzan.
The police had also conducted foot patrolling the previous night, and the procession was accompanied by a tight security system. When the stampede broke out due to the stone pelting near Panjrigar Mohalla, the mob's fury was directed at several lorries along the road from Fatepura to Karelibagh police station. The police convoy's timely intervention helped to defuse the situation and restore order.
