Eighteen years after its release, the beloved romantic comedy "Jab We Met" continues to hold a special place in fans' hearts. However, director Imtiaz Ali has definitively shut down rumors of a direct sequel.

Ali recently addressed the speculation while promoting his upcoming film "Chamkila." In a media interview, he firmly stated, "I don't want to make a sequel to Jab We Met because I think that film is perfect. I have never thought of a sequel to this film."

However, he did leave the door open for a possible remake with a fresh cast.
