MS University signs MoU with Laghu Udyog Bharti for enhanced industry exposure for students
Vadodara : MS University students will benefit from a wider range of opportunities, including internships in thousands of industries in and around Vadodara, following the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the university and industry body Laghu Udyog Bharti.
The initiative was kicked off by a meeting held at the University Headquarters, bringing together around 50 representatives from various industries alongside university officials including the Vice-Chancellor and Faculty Deans. Discussions during the meeting centered on strengthening industry-academia linkages.
According to Viral Chaudhary, president of Laghu Udyog Bharti, Vadodara chapter, MS University faculty and students will be involved in auditing GIDC industries in the near future. Additionally, commerce students will receive free training in accounting software, with the software being made available to them for their use.
The meeting also saw deliberations on revamping the curriculum to better align with industry needs, incorporating case studies and industrial visits. Furthermore, it was decided that industries will provide projects for students to work on, while the university will extend its expertise to assist industries in problem-solving.
The MoU promises to benefit both parties. Industries associated with Laghu Bharti will receive support in startup ventures, placements, research and development projects, while students will gain valuable internship opportunities across a diverse range of industries.
