Fraudulent Agency Scam: Surat Police Arrests Manager for Duping Victims of Lakhs

In a recent development, the Adajan police in Surat have arrested Bhavesh Chauhan, the manager of Kripa Agency, for his involvement in a fraudulent scheme. Alongside his brother Kalpesh Chauhan, Bhavesh is accused of swindling over 36 lakhs from more than 24 individuals.

The police investigation revealed that the Chauhan brothers deceived people by promising them student visas and work permits for the UK and Canada. Victims were coerced into paying large sums of money, only to be left without the promised documents. Bhavesh Chauhan has been remanded for one day, with authorities expecting further revelations during the investigation.

The fraudulent activities extended beyond Surat, as Kripa Agency also operated an office in Vadodara. The accused had previously been arrested in Vadodara for similar offenses. Money was collected under the guise of visa and permit processing fees.
