Deadly Collision on Mumbai National Highway Claims Two Lives
Eicher Tempo Crashes into Roadside Dumper Following Tire Puncture
Surat - A tragic accident occurred on the Mumbai National Highway in Surat district today, resulting in the death of two individuals after an Eicher Tempo collided with a roadside dumper. The incident took place near Sava Patiya of Mangrol.
Ram Iqbal Chauhan was transporting sand from Chhotaudepur to Kadodakhali in his dumper (GJ-16-AV-4200) when a tire puncture forced him to pull over on the side of the highway. Dhaval Dughat and Mitesh Damor arrived from the sand plant and repaired the dumper by installing reflectors, tires, and stone blocks behind the vehicle.
Meanwhile, an Eicher Tempo (GJ-23-AT-2171) traveling at high speed on the highway slammed into the parked dumper. A large crowd gathered at the scene of the accident, where the front axle of the Eicher Tempo was found to be bent. The collision resulted in the deaths of Eicher Tempo driver Mahendra Kumar Gautam and Dhaval Dudhat.
Following the crash, the cabin of the Eicher Tempo was severely twisted, trapping the driver's body inside. It took significant effort to remove the body from the wreckage. Kosamba police have registered a case of accidental death and are currently conducting further investigations into the circumstances surrounding the accident. Authorities are urging drivers to exercise caution and adhere to traffic rules to avoid such tragic incidents in the future.
