Surat Police Deploys Bike Patrols to Help Students During Board Exams

Board exam season is upon us, and the Surat traffic police are taking elaborate steps to ensure a smooth experience for students. Recognizing the challenges posed by ongoing metro construction, the police have formed 36 bike patrol teams strategically placed across the city.

These teams will be deployed at exam times and in areas prone to traffic congestion. If a student gets stuck in a jam, the bike patrol will promptly escort them to their exam center. The police will also be patrolling near exam centers at the beginning and end of each exam.

"Our aim is to minimize traffic disruptions and ensure students reach their exams on time," stated the Traffic ACP. "We have deployed a dedicated force with 12 PIs, 41 PSIs-ASIs, and 36 bike patrol teams. Additionally, a helpline number will be available for students facing any traffic-related issues or requiring assistance reaching their exam center."
