Mumbai, March 7 : The much-awaited trailer launch event of Bollywood superstar Ajay Devgan's upcoming movie 'Maidaan' took place in Mumbai on 7 March. Directors Amit Sharma, Priyamani, and Gajraj Rao were among those present at the event. 'Maidaan' is set to release alongside 'Bade Miyan Chhote Miyan', both boasting big budgets and star casts, on the same day. Such box office clashes are not uncommon in the entertainment industry.
Addressing the clash, Ajay Devgan said, "I wouldn't call it a confrontation. Sometimes, circumstances lead to two films releasing on the same day. Both films are of different genres, and Akshay Kumar and I, along with others, are like family and good friends. Our approach is different, and we don't view this as a confrontation. This weekend is crucial, and I'm confident that both films will perform well."
In 'Maidaan', Ajay Devgan plays the role of a football coach, with Priyamani, Gajraj Rao, and Bengali actor Rudranil Ghosh in lead roles. The film is set to hit theaters during Eid in April, with an expected release date of April 12, although the makers have not officially confirmed this date yet.
