"Article 370" Debuts Strong, Breaks Box Office Record

Yami Gautam Dhar's Film Garners Positive Response and Impressive Opening Day Collections

Yami Gautam Dhar's film "Article 370" has generated significant interest since its trailer release and has finally hit the big screens. The film has received a positive response from audiences, exceeding first-day booking expectations compared to other recent releases.

According to reports from Saknilk, "Article 370" raked in an impressive Rs 5.75 crore on its opening day, fueled by enthusiastic pre-booking with an occupancy rate of 42.8%. Notably, this exceeds the opening day collection of Vivek Agnihotri's "The Kashmir Files," which earned Rs 3.55 crore.

Directed by Aditya Suhas Jamble, the film stars Yami Gautam as an NIA officer tasked with maintaining peace and thwarting terrorist activities in Kashmir following the abrogation of Article 370. The narrative reportedly delves into the struggle to remove this article, explores the history of Kashmir, and sheds light on the factors contributing to terrorism and political interference in the region.

Beyond Yami Gautam, the film boasts a talented cast including Priyamani, Raj Zutshi, Sumit Kaul, Raj Arjun, and several others. Interestingly, Yami's husband, Aditya Dhar, the director of films like "Uri: The Surgical Strike," serves as a producer alongside Lokesh Dhar.

While the film generates buzz, it's important to note that critical reception is still developing. Regardless, "Article 370" seems to have captured the attention of the audience and boasts a promising start at the box office.
